Spiritato! gathers together many of London's finest young baroque musicians to give dynamic performances of some of the most moving and beautiful music ever written. Founded in 2008, the group has sought to challenge audiences, both old and new, with innovative programmes featuring lesser-known composers alongside more established names. Spiritato! have given concerts all across London at venues that include the Barbican, St Anne's Lutheran Church and St John's Notting Hill, where they are Musicians in Residence.
Each member of the group is a specialist in performing Early Music on the instruments of the time. The players can often be found working with the very best period groups in this country and Europe, including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, English Baroque Soloists, Orchestre Revolutionaire et Romantique and the European Union Baroque Orchestra.
Working primarily as a small scale chamber group, the ensemble can be extended to perform larger works and is equally at home playing both intimate chamber recitals and rousing large scale concerts.
